DAI Donates to HomeAid Utah’s Diaper Drive

DAI employee donations in DAI’s Draper office

Last week, DAI delivered 2,453 diapers, 6,300 wipes, and 209.6 ounces of formula to HomeAid Utah‘s fourth annual 2022 Diaper Drive. Celebrated as Utah Diaper Bank’s most significant annual donor, HomeAid Utah is on track to surpass last year’s contribution with a final diaper count expected to exceed 500,000. This amount is estimated to supply nearly 20% of Utah’s yearly diaper needs.

The final collection event took place on August 19th, 2022 at the Rio Tinto Stadium Zagg Executive lot. Every year, the event showcases a house built out of diaper donations. This year, The Utah Chapter of Professional Women in Building (PWB) recreated their home, “The House That She Built” out of diapers.

Nathan Shipp, DAI Partner, with Don Adamson, Executive Director of HomeAid Utah

Nate Shipp, a DAI partner for over 20 years, is HomeAid Utah’s founding affiliate President. Nate brought the 19th HomeAid Affiliate to Utah in 2018 and was instrumental in establishing its founding board. He remains President today. Under the leadership of Executive Director Don Adamson, HomeAid Utah has facilitated the largest annual diaper donation in Utah Diaper Bank history. As a result, this local diaper bank works with a network of reputable service providers to ensure the distribution of diapers to our most vulnerable friends and neighbors.

DAI Utah has been a pioneering force in the growth and development of the Wasatch Front. Our founders are passionate about building quality communities and recognize the need to facilitate and harness good within them. We are proud of HomeAid Utah’s success and look forward to supporting them for many years to come.
